Privacy policy and accessibility
This page describes our privacy practices and the accessibility of the site.
Privacy policy
The Student Union of Tampere University (TREY) has committed to protecting its members’ privacy, in accordance with the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation and other applicable legislation. TREY’s right to process its members’ personal data is based on the statutory duty of the register’s controller (Universities Act 2009/558, section 46). In addition, TREY processes personal data in order to provide various services. Authorisation to process personal data is based on the consent given by a data subject (EU’s General Data Protection Regulation, Article 6, paragraph 1, point a).
It is more specifically explained in TREY’s Privacy Policies, how, where and on what grounds the personal data are processed. The data subject has the right to check from the controller, what information has been collected of them. The data subject may also demand the controller to restrict the processing of the data subject’s personal data, or claim for rectification or erasure of the personal data. Processing period of the forms concerning data protection is one month from the day the form has been received or it has arrived.
Website cookies and visitor tracking
This website (fuksiopas.trey.fi) uses the following cookies and tracking technologies.
Necessary cookies
- pll_language (Polylang): stores your selected language version. Valid for 1 year.
Analytics
We use the open-source Koko Analytics tool to measure visitor numbers. The tool is configured to operate without cookies. It does not collect personal data, does not use unique identifiers, and does not store IP addresses. The data is kept as anonymous aggregate counts on TREY’s own server and is not shared with third parties.
On-site advertising slots
The site may display advertisements from cooperation partners as images with links. The ads are static images served from TREY’s own server. The site does not use ad networks, tracking pixels, or profiling, and displaying an ad does not set cookies or transmit any information about the visitor to the advertiser. Ad impressions and clicks are counted anonymously in aggregate, and the counts are not linked to any individual visitor. To avoid double-counting impressions, your browser’s sessionStorage may temporarily store an anonymous counter value for the duration of the session. When you click an ad, you are taken to the advertiser’s website, where the advertiser’s own privacy practices apply.
Third-party content
Some pages contain embedded YouTube videos, which are loaded from the privacy-friendly youtube-nocookie.com domain. In this mode, YouTube does not set cookies or collect personal data until you press the video’s play button. Playing the video may set Google’s
own cookies, in which case Google’s privacy policy applies.
The site does not include other embedded third-party services (such as social media feeds) or use marketing/advertising network tracking.

Supervisory authority
You can submit a complaint about a website or mobile application that does not comply with the web accessibility requirements of the Digital Services Act to the Digital Accessibility Supervision Unit of the Finnish Transport and Communications Agency Traficom. You should always first contact the publisher of the website or mobile app. This is often the fastest way to resolve the case as it takes longer to process the complaint. You can also ask Traficom to investigate if the publisher of a website or mobile app has not provided the content in a format that suits you, even if you have requested it, or if the website or mobile app publisher has not responded to your feedback about accessibility within two weeks. More information on how to submit a complaint on web accessibility can be found on the website saavutettavuusvaatimukset.fi.
